AT the top of the stretch, I thought Bodemeister absolutely had it. I saw I’ll Have Another closing fast, but didn’t think there was enough track.

Bodemeister ran pretty easy the whole way. He didn’t seem to be really trying so much. Unfortunately, when it came time to sprint, the jockey couldn’t get it out of him. You saw early how hard Trinniberg was running just to keep pace with Bodemeister.

I liked Dullahan myself and I think in a less crowded field he would have won. He’s a hell of a sprinter.
