True, a little proof or anecdotal evidence:

Blcak voters in North Carolina supported Amendment 1 by 2 to 1 margin. Link: http://hotair.com/archives/2012/05/10/black-voters-in-nc-supported-amendment-one-by-2-1-margin/

The problem is that there is little separation between Romney's and Obama’s policy on gay marriage

He is intentionally pushing the envelope. It is almost like he believes there is no way he will be removed.

Agreed. I was visiting online with some friends last night, several of whom are black. One said that this was a “tangible reason” for blacks to not vote for Obama. He said they probably won’t vote for Romney, but they won’t turn out for Obama in nearly the numbers they did in 2008.

I don’t see any way it can help him. Anyone with those beliefs were already voting for him anyway. The only thing it can do is drive some voters away.

I think Obama made, politically, a huge mistake.

Obama's biggest vulnerability is the economy, which continues to stagger toward oblivion. Anything which gets attention off economic matters helps Obama - that's why Obama started this latest little dust-up in the culture wars with his views on a subject the POTUS has no authority over. And it's working - the headlines and pundits are all busy talking about gay marriage instead of the latest round of appalling jobs numbers.

Wonder what Biden’s role really was? Planned? If so, by Obama or was it an inside hit job?

Two calculations went into his coming out. 1. He believed that it wouldn’t cost him many votes. He figures it will be a non-issue by November and 2. Money.

To know how badly this idiot stepped in it, just remember that CA approved Prop 8 with the wholehearted support of blacks. In fact, I know a popular black televangelist pastor who was scorned by libs because he helped lead the fight against homosexual marriage.

The gay marriage meme is a distraction from the pathetic economy. Poor “Tom” can’t afford to marry “Bob”!

Clearly Obama thinks that blacks will back him no matter what.

In fact, one of the biggest lines of bullsh*t lately has been that he’s been avoiding coming “out of the closet” on this because he’s feared the effect on Independents.

Think what one likes about gay “marriage” or the mushy middle, those are not the people whose reaction Obama feared. It was black religious voters, and to a lesser extent Hispanics.

Well, he’s done a calculation, eyes on the financial line it seems, and he’s said “they’ll stick with me anyway”.

Black Americans, that’s what Obama thinks. He thinks he can do nothing to improve your lot, put a stick in your eye to please white hollywood and other rich, liberal, white people, and you’ll still show up to vote for him in droves.

Oh, yeah, and hey, black people, Barack Obama is only 1/2 black....and.....he ate a dog!

Blacks have a higher rate of opposition to gay marriage than any other ethnic group...details are a bit hazy by now, but I watched C-Span coverage a month or so ago of a seminar of black conservatives in Washington sponsored by Rep. Allen West - one of the invited participants was the chairman of the Black Congressional Caucus who was surprisingly - to me anyway - gracious and open in most of his comments - if I recall correctly the conversation turned to where blacks on both the left and right might reach compromise, and this black congressman said flatly that this would never happen with gay marriage, that black churchmen in particular were so opposed to this that they would never fully endorse or accept it in their churches - there may be a lot of Obama's most dedicated voters who just won't turn out this November because of this move - or as Rush's parody said today "Stand with me in support of President Obama - trade poor black votes for rich gay money"......
