I remember how hurt I was when Jim pulled a thread of mine about ten years ago. He said “We don’t need this.”
For a few minutes I was hurt and stunned. I left my keyboard and went out to a meeting. When I got back I got a thank you from someone involved. It put it all in perspective and I let it go.
It’s still a good approach.

Realsaxophonist and I were doing political haiku. My second best one was too sexual, it was about Monica Lewinski. It got pulled. I cried, then I died. Well, I tried. Post got fried.
However, my BEST political haiku survived:
Swirling voids of lies,
Well-dressed men telling falsehoods,
Politicians suck.
