I don’t care if the kid is gay or not and according to the story that wasn’t an issue at the time as the kid had not “come out” at that time, or if ever as you say. It sounded like a typical bullying case of a kid who might have been called gay because he was smaller or wimpier or something. Who would talk about that if it had happened to you? Usually people don’t go around bragging about how they got their butt kicked.

Let me clue you in to a simple fact. I’m the same age as Romney.
1. NO ONE thought anyone was “gay”. We didn’t even use the word. Everyone said “Homo”. It was hidden if you were homosexual, that was High School in the 70’s afterall.
2. He didn’t get his hair cut (oh the horror) because he was homosexual, he got it cut because he was acting like a hippy at a Prep school.
3. People are laughing at this because we all did stupid things in our lives. It’s backfired because it makes MR look human.
