On Monday, "Swamp People" star Mitchell Guist died in his boat. A Baton Rouge news program said a passenger in his boat saw him suffer what seemed like a seizure. Guist fell in the boat and efforts to revive him failed. Mitchell and his brother Glenn shot to fame on The History Channel's "Swamp People." The show features alligator hunters, but the Guist brothers brought a whole different view of the Louisiana swamp life.

Rest easy swamper..
Sad to hear this. I’m afraid his brother may die soon as well (broken heart)
Same here.
I don't watch a lot of television, but I never miss "Swamp People" and the Guist brothers were just funny as heck.
Rest in peace, Swamper.
RIP Mitch.
Just Damn!
RIP Mitch!
I thought it was funny how they repeat what the other says.
First brother: “Got us a squirrel.”
Second brother: “Yep. Got us a squirrel.”
First brother: “And a rabbit.”
Second brother: “And a rabbit.”
My condolences to his brother, I know how badly he will miss him./
May he rest in peace.
Two brothers who just lived off the land, he lived a short but full life. Was Mitchell the younger brother?
Prayers for his brother.
Glen will do fine if America will get off his A$$.
Hopefully he'll go deeper in the swamp but they lived on the home place so we shall see.
RIP Mitchell Guis — The Good Life, The Simple Life.
I love the show and feel horrible for the surviving brother, Glen. Seems that these two brothers grew up very close and spent their lives together. I am afraid that the first thing that crossed my mind was that Glen wouldn’t do very well without his beloved brother. Very sad news and I believe Mitch is in that big swamp in the sky... eating the best Gar that he ever tasted.
Sad. They were so very charming in a child-like way.
