I have yet to read “ Do Androids Dream of Electic Sheep?”. Is that where that comes from, or is it a fan legend? I have heard that he was, and I did watch it again through that subtext. The broken fingers are an issue, if he was.

Scott/Dick took “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”
to a magnitude better that it is with Blade Runner.
Just like Kubrick/Clarke took "The Sentinel" to 2001...

I would say, don't bother with the book (sheep).
"The Sentinel" is classic Clarke; as is "The Nine
Billion Names of GOD".

To the point, there is a scene in Deckard's apt when
he is cleaning up after a fight. Sean Young is on the
couch. There is a long, some what blured shot, over her
toward Deckard in the ?kitchen. His eyes are reflective;
like all the other replicants.

Scott denied it for years, but gave in after the
'Directors Cut'; where he left the glowing eyes scene in.
