You got a better option?

No, you don’t.

Yes, I know “vote for R or you’ll get O” sucks. I am very familiar and sympathetic with the reasoning. I also know that O is that much worse.

If we get Mitt, we’ll then struggle to swing him to the right. That’s better than struggling to keep the nation intact and out of CWII.

And ... you make my point again. You’re so bent out of shape about Mitt that you fail to address the incumbent whom Mitt is the only hope of dislodging - and the grave importance of doing so.

Excellent point.

The answer is NO. They do not have a better option.

But trying to get them to admit that Obama is therefore their default choice is near impossible.

Only those who argue that the end of the American Republic is near and that we might has well accelerate the process by electing Obama have a rational, albeit insane, position. They are, in effect, looking forward to a successful Civil War that will restore Constitutional Government. I view that as a fantasy at least at this point in time.

But most just beg off with some nonsense about Romney not having the nomination sewed up yet.

"If we get Mitt, we’ll then struggle to swing him to the right."

I keep hearing that from good people forced into a hopeless situation.

Just one question: How? Writing letters? Posts on internet forums?

Beyond sending as many real conservatives to House & Senate as possible, I'd like to hear one practical and legal way to force a President to pay attention to people that he doesn't much like.

Great post, ctdonath2! It's so damn obvious...

Then expect to be disappointed!
