Where I live it's not exactly life on the farm, but it's not life in the city, either. I have discovered that I really like documenting what is going on (what is blooming, adventures with animals/reptiles/insects, etc.) and I am doing a little blog for the family (especially those out of town) with pictures and stories. I have been pleased and surprised at some of the pictures …. it's a digital camera and when you snap the picture there is a delay so I never quite know what I'm going to get. Here are a few I've been pretty happy with recently:


It's harder than I thought to catch a bumblebee (in focus) on a Lamb's Ear bloom!


We have two big magnolias that are beginning to bloom - just love them.


One of our male bluebirds on his favorite perch & yes, we have a squirrel problem at the birdfeeders!


Pomegranate Bloom - the bush is loaded with blooms this year.

Wow! I’ve never seen a pomegranate bloom before and I honestly never thought about it. Those flowers are just beautiful - like a cross between a rose and a peony. Thanks for sharing!
