Funny how when one translates “Isaac” into Arabic, it becomes “Ishmael”.
Weird, huh?
Also weird how Miriam, after watching her baby brother in a small boat, singing at the Red Sea, catching and recovering from leprosy and dying in the wilderness, then went on to give birth to Jesus, as Mad Mo tells it. An awful long time to remain a virgin;-)
But Saadiya’s translation fails to translate it properly into Arabic. He keeps it Isaac, so I guess he wasn’t a Muslim after all. Ergo, they are relying on a Jooo! to translate a Jooo! book. Sacrelige. Time to find some more “scholars” and order them to translate it right.
