Close enough.

It’s looking like the agon in the Walker Recall story will have a happy ending.

Yet I still hold out hope:

"Thought shall be the harder, heart the keener,
courage the greater, as our might lessens."

Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

i had a “conversation” of sorts with a liberal in my ofc today. i was minding my own business talking to my paralegal (who happens to be black) about Obama, and asking what her friends were thinking. she says she doesn’t think he will be re-elected, that her friends are all over the lot about him. well the white jewish liberal had to poke her nose in, and she is to the left of Obama, thinks he is a hypocrite, really can’t stand him, thinks he is Bush lite. she got off of obama to politics in general, which was not productive. i would have preferred to hear her rag on Obams some more. He annoys her. she said she is depressed watching the news, and that she really can’t talk politics with people bc it upsets her too much. this is someone from the left. so it was interesting.

Finally a consistent liberal. Most seem pretty groovy with domestic spying and indefident detention and undeclared wars as long as they aren't being done by a Republican.

she thinks she is a dying breed, classic liberal. loves FDR, thinks we need to TAKE CARE OF the poo-er. my head wants to explode talking to people like that, though i was gratified that she sees him as arrogant, and a narcissist.

If you were questioning someone else about how their family and friends view Obama, how is this “minding your own business”? ;-)

i didn’t bring up the subject, the paralegal did, and this other person left her ofc to come across the hall and engage in the conversation, uninvited.
