how does the US benefit from Egypt? Are they important to our National security as a stategic base?
Do they export anything we need? Some oil which we wouldn’t need if we could drill at will here in the US.
No bases of any significance but Egypt does operate the Suez canal which we use a lot. Interestingly our military gets priority passage thru it-—no waiting in line for our guys. It will be popcorn time if some egyptiangenius tries to upset that apple cart. Even Obamuzzie will have to step up if anything goes sour regarding Suez.
