Vanity: Christopher Hayes Has a Website

I was thinking about that skid mark who doesn't like to call dead soldiers heroes...and I wondered who he did feel comfortable calling a hero. From his website, I now understand that his heros include:

Veronica Mars, John Kerry, Howard Dean, a neighbor who lent a coffee pot, some leftists and politicians...and he tops it off with another screed against veterans:

Neighbors who lend his uncle a coffee pot:

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/grief-and-empathy-new-york-city/

“My aunt's neighbors displayed a quieter, more quotidian heroism in her final weeks, setting up a cooking schedule so that a fresh dinner would always be delivered, taking turns watching the kids, and even lending my uncle a new coffee pot when his broke.”

Woman running for congress:

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/polishing-up-her-image/

“Kaszak seems to be growing into the role of Polish heroine”

Martin Luther King, Ghandi, and Justice Blackmum?

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/real-conviction/ “and quoted from a pantheon of progressive heroes, including Martin Luther King Jr., Mohandas Ghandi and the late Supreme Court Justice Harry Blackmun”

A woman who could read blueprints?

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/paradise-lost/ “The book's hero is Elizabeth Wood, the daughter of a Pentecostal minister, a onetime poetry professor at Vassar, and the CHA's first executive director. "She was a woman who could read blueprints faster than you could say Jackie Robinson,"”

Howard Dean!

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/barbarians-at-the-helm/

“and original netroots hero Howard Dean now runs the Democratic National Committee”

Veronica Mars!?! Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe? http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/veronica-mars-class-warrior/

“and like Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe, the noir heroes from whom she descends”

“"Veronica Mars" follows the adventures of its eponymous hero as she negotiates the twin perils of high school and her career moonlighting as a private investigator”

John Kerry (he gets an exemption I guess)

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/return-swift-boaters/

“this group it has come to represent movement conservatism's penchant for ruthlessly (and effectively) smearing any and all political opponents, from a sitting senator and war hero”

John Kerry again:

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/obama-politics-and-pulpit/

“Four years ago Democrats, having been told they had to prove their patriotism and military bona fides, nominated a war hero”

New Deal Implementer:

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/american-made/ “If Taylor's book has a hero, it's Hopkins -- one of those legendarily passionate, smart technocrats who made the New Deal function.”

And finally, a familiar sounding screed against military heroes:

http://www.chrishayes.org/articles/the-good-war-on-terror/

“Not everyone was so naive as to miss this. Even before 9/11, historian Howard Zinn, himself a WWII bombardier, wrote in The Progressive that he refused to celebrate the Greatest Generation "because in doing so we are celebrating courage and sacrifice in the cause of war. And we are miseducating the young to believe that military heroism is the noblest form of heroism. ... Indeed, the current infatuation with World War II prepares us--innocently on the part of some, deliberately on the part of others--for more war, more military adventures, more attempts to emulate the military heroes of the past.

The experience of Vietnam had largely succeeded in cleansing Americans of whatever romantic notions of military heroism they may have once held dear.”

a useless effect media talking head with a show.

A pro-communist useful idiot who will never “get it” even after the communists line him up against a wall.

(for those in rio linda, the communists eliminate the useful idiots first in order to secure their power)

I’d send any e-mails to MSNBC instead. This guy is too ‘smart’ to understand his own hypocrisy, even if you point it out to him....but pointing it out to his employer might make him squirm a little.
