Haha, I thought Doc Gooden had thrown a no-hitter back in the day, but I am obviously wrong. Of course, I'll be the first to admit that I'm only a casual baseball fan.

Gooden did throw a no-no, but not with the Mets. Same with Ryan, Seaver, Cone, and a few others.

I was at Shea and Gooden was pitching a no hitter through 6 or 7 , but after he came to bat and hit a home run, he returned to the mound and gave up a hit ( or even more)
