Ok FReepers, there was blogging about secreted efforts to hide driver-identity and records of an auto crash and the investigation records in Hawaii.... I think it was written by one of the main lawyers fighting to expose Obam. The question was WHY such efforts to hide the identity and spend big bucks- i think well after the event.... Ibu is Indonesian for "mother" or can be used as a respectful title similar to Mrs.

The male equivalent is Bapak pronounced Bapa almost sounding like papa. Used for Father or Mr. or Sir when addressing a male of higher status.

Interesting, never saw that one before. So a photo of the doting new mom and baby was taken in Indonesia, replete with grandmas; but not a single photo of the purported mother and baby/young toddler or with purported grandma and Zero.

When a child is adopted by a citizen of another country then yes, that child can "renounce" his US citizenship

Especially if the country of his adopted parents does not recognize dual citizenship (ie, Indonesia)

However, if this occurred to a minor who was a bona fide US citizen before adoption, then he may ask to have his US citizenship reinstated - if he does so within 6 months of becoming 18 yrs old

Barrys adoption has not been a secret, though the records of who he was before adoption and what he became after turning age 18 are missing or sealed. An adopted child is issued a new birth certificate. Hawaii MUST have this on file. His previous records are sealed. fwiw, I have adopted a child from abroad.

I find it entirely plausible that Barry Soetero/Sutoro (choose a spelling) became an Indonesian citizen and had his name legally changed to “Sutoro” (choose a spelling) upon adoption by Lolo Sutoro - his mother Ann was contemptuous of America and could not wait to leave

but that lil Barry who was sent back to Hawaii at age 10 probably never legally changed his named back to “Obama” or formally asked to have his US citizenship reinstated upon turning 18

Why would he want to go to all that legal stuff to be a US citizen? Given that his family was so contemptuous of America and that Barry was “probably” registered in school and college under a foreign nationality to derive prestige or affirmative action and loan/scholarship benefits

Now, how he got a Connecticut SSN and a US passport- we leave it up to history to determine. Too bad Toot died so suddenly and fortuitously so she can never tell

Under the Supreme Court ruling in Perkins Vs Elg (1939), you would be correct, but since the 1967 ruling in Afroyim v. Rusk the court pointed out that since citizenship is held as a right under the Constitution, once gained lawfully, it cannot be lost except by an affirmative act (or in the case of a naturalized citizen, obtaining it by fraud). A minor child cannot make such and act, and a parent cannot deprive a child of their right.

This effectively ruled the various "Bancroft Treaties", that made a person lose their US Citizenship when naturalized as the citizen of another country, unconstitutional and void.

So nothing his parents or step parent did in Indonesia, could deprive him of his citizenship, period. Nor does he have to do anything affirmative to regain a citizenship he never lost.

Unless you have a document showing that Barack/Barry Hussein Obama/Soetero/Sutero explicitly renounced his US Citizenship, as prescribed by law, after his 18th Birthday, he is a US Citizen. (Traveling on a foreign passport would not be enough, because acknowledging a second citizenship does not deprive you of US citizenship.)

By the way, congratulations on adopting from abroad, you have given your child/children a two precious gifts, parents who love them and becoming American.

Both of my sons were born in the Army Hospital at Camp Zama, and their births were registered at the U S Consulate in Yokohama. No questions here. My daughter was born in a British hospital. Her birth was duly recorded at the U S Consulate in Liverpool. She was a dual-citizen until age 21 when she became a full U S citizen since both parents were both natural-born U S citizens.

There probably aren’t any as he most likely never repatriated just came back and started using his birth name. Thats probably why he doesn’t want his birth certificate released because it has a bunch of addendums from the Soetoro adoption changing his name.

1. Yes. At first all of them were on their mother’s passport, then as they got older, they had their own passports. I think my daughter got her first one at age five.
2. Our pssports were official for the first few decades were all official and then diplomatic. My employer took care of all of the application work. For our tourist passports that we obtained overseas, all we needed to show the consulate was our active pp.

4. In my experience, one needs to present a valid birth certificate to obtain a pp. I don’t think a drivers license or a library card would do.

5. If he was in fact on his mother’s pp, he would have to show it personally to the consulate.

BTW, one time in Bali I asked a local who was talking about the "0" if he knew where he was born... his reply was a nonplussed "Indonesia...".

What I don't know is that if at that time Indonesia allowed dual-citizenship. At this point in time they do not.

At the time that he “lived” there (in Lolo’s house) it did NOT allow joint citizenship. My understandding is that a step (non-biological) child could not live in his house unless he adopted him (Don’t know if a “court order/legal” or of a “custom/tribal” type was done).

SADO had unusual ideas about legality of relationships: No marriage license, but a divorce....No wonder he’s so messed up.
