Republicans lead Democrats by seven points on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, June 3.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 44% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Republican in their districts congressional race if the election were held today, while 37% would choose the Democrat instead. Republicans led by three points the week before, 42% to 39%.
The national telephone survey of 3,500 Likely Voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports from May 28-June 3, 2012. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 2 percentage point with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
what was the day before election day, 2010?
I think if the GOP can get about 3 points in the generic better than that level...then we ought to see a few dozen D’s go down in flames...not that the GOP deserves to win, but it is always good for Dems to lose....
Still very early but hopeful for retaining the House.
(From Rassmussen) “Polling for the week ending Sunday, October 10, shows that 47% of Likely Voters would vote for their districts Republican congressional candidate, while 39% prefer the Democrat.”
Watch for a few more Rats switching parties.
thanks...eight point spread netting 62 seats lost in the House....makes me hope for a ten point spread come November 2012!
“Still very early but hopeful for retaining the House.”
What gives you the idea the Rep are in danger of losing the House?
