Picky picky.

Where are the links? You can't provide the studies ( a professional government teacher, too) because they have never been done.

We spend $20,000 to $30,000 per child/per year for 13 years and no one knows if government schools actually teach anything. Unbelievable!

No one knows if the child acquires his learning in the classroom or due to the conscientious efforts of his parents, himself, or tutors IN THE HOME. My bet in on the parents and the kid IN THE HOME, and this article reinforces my opinion.

Wow!
So we already know how important it is for children to have their mother in their lives.
And now this?
The father actually contributes to their happiness?

Imagine! The notion of the child having BOTH the mother AND the father in his/her life and in the home...together!

It’s almost like this male/female dynamic is important or something.

Used to be women let men think they were the center of the family. They encouraged them to think and act of themselves in this way. It served marriages, and the well being of women and children for dads to view themselves as more than just hollow ATMs. Something of honor, character, love and inspiration has gotten lost in the translation of modern society. It’s sad to me. Hard on moms and dads, but mostly their children.

Your observations are in line with my observations when we are looking at the typical American middle class family. I think the children do well in spite of even the best public schools. We need to revamp the whole idea of herd education and socialist educators.

Since our country is becomming overpopulated with the never ending invasion over the borders, we should think about encouraging mothers or fathers to educate their own children and release them from the mind numbing, degrading factory schools.

No it actually supports MY position that the Family is the primary factor in the development of the child and the School does not cause the damage that you whine about. Of course you would have to have actually read and understood what was being said in the article.

You would think that someone who claims to be so highly educated would be able to realize that.

the School does not cause the damage that you whine about.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Please read posts #2 and #24 by savagesusie and SaraJohnson. Evidently, I am not alone in my opinion.

I have known wonderful families, with outstanding fathers. Sadly, in cases where all of the children are doing well in the family, except one or two, I have heard without a single exception the statement, “It was the friends they met in school.” And...Without exception the next statement is, “It started in Junior High.” The next sentence is, “We moved here because of the ‘good” schools”.

I agree with Sara Johnson. Kids do well IN SPITE of their so-called “good” , factory-like, prison-like, GODLESS, government school.

I agree with Savagesusie. Femininazis are rampant in the government schools. Gays will soon be, too. If not already. Progressives ( communists) have controlled teacher and curriculum development from the beginning of compulsory socialist schooling in the mid-1800s to early 1900s. That we have the moral muck called “public” schooling today was inevitable, and the cultural and family disintegration that is the result should not be surprising. The mission in life of the progressives ( communists), feminazis, and homosexuals and the Useful Idiots riding their train to Gomorrah is to destroy healthy manhood and the family.

I completely agree with Savagesusie’s following statement:

“The cultural Marxists established Sex Ed in schools to destroy Virtue and morality in children so they will treat sex like a commodity—with no meaning which needs to be the glue in marriage. Men do not do well when they have no self-mastery and no will power. Stoics used to be plentiful in America—now it is rare quality. Virtue is being redefined to mean evil....now sodomy is good and if kids don’t like the behavior they are homophobes. Gay is cool in schools now. They have normalized sodomy. Gays target males and destroy the idea of true friendship between males. Trust is destroyed. Males who tie “sex” to friendship are sick and unable to control their base urges. They are mentally ill and we glorify it.”

My advice to fathers is stand firm. Protect your children from the evil so well described by Savagesusie, Sara Johnson, myself, and many others here on Free Republic. Strongly encourage and support your wife in keeping your kids at home and under her protective and nurturing care. Join with others to shut down the pits of ignorance and depravity that is commonly ( and **wrongly**) called “good” government schooling.

Do that and in a generation of two the culture will improve and the media will, as well.

And.... Verga, you and other “professional” government teachers have **never**provided links to studies that prove government owned and run, factory-like, and socialist-entitlement schooling actually teaches anything. Where are the studies that separate that actually learned in the classroom from that which is acquired due to the herculean efforts IN THE HOME of the parents, the child ( himself), and that of paid or unpaid tutoring?

Well, that explains a lot. My father told me he wished I had never been born.

Fortunately, my Father-in-Law stepped up to that plate. He was my “real” dad.

I appreciate your saying that, darlin’.

Well, I came to understand when I got older. He thought he was done raising babies when I showed up eleven years after his last one.

I got out of there as fast as I could.

The links in the article have absolutely **nothing** to do with the amount of learning acquired in the classroom in comparison to the knowledge the student learns due to the massive amounts of afterschooling and preschooling done by dedicated parents, the child ( himself) and/or paid or unpaid tutoring.

Not only are taxpayers spending up to nearly $400,000/ per child to attend godless government schooling, these schools ( staffed with homosexual, feminazi, and Marxist activist) attempt in many ways to destroy the masculinity of boys,

Not only that but there is absolutely NO proof that these socialist-entitlement schools teach anything. No studies measuring this have ever been done. Maybe they are merely sending home a curriculum, and it is the parents, the child, and/or paid tutors who doing the truly hard work of teaching and learning.

The links in the article, Show the importance of the FAMILY in the education and development of a child. It is much more important and has more influence than any school could. IN OTHER WORDS LOUSY PARENTS LOUSY KIDS! DUHHHHHHHH!

You would think that a person that claims to be as educated as you do would understand such a simple concept.

Are even capable of following a train of thought that is not in lockstep with your aberrant views?

Yes, they do. As I posted previously in this thread, the article and its links **strengthen** my argument.

Nearly **all** knowledge a child will acquire will happen IN THE HOME due to his parents, the hard work the child does himself , and ( possibly) paid and unpaid tutors.

NO one knows if government schools are in any manner effective because studies have **never** been done that separate out the learning acquired IN THE HOME from that supposedly dished out in a godless classroom ( likely none).

It is my guess that the only thing that government schools do is send home a very expensive curriculum for the parents and child to follow.

Taxpayers are paying the cost of up to nearly a quarter to a half MILLION dollars per child and a compulsory educational and godless system that has **never** been tested for effectiveness.

Then the exact same thing can be said about Private schools, Parochial schools and Home screwlers (Intentional miss-spelling to show contempt for you).

You keep missing that the point is Lousy parents, lousy kids.

Yes, It can be said about Prusssian-model private schooling, but not homeschooling.

Learning that is due to the parents, child's, and ( possibly) paid or unpaid individual tutoring is **homeschooling**. If the child is institutionalized for his schooling that “In the Home” learning is commonly called “afterschooling.

It is my anecdotal observation that academically successful children ( home or institutionalized) are spending about the same amount of time IN THE HOME studying, doing projects, and independent study. Prove me wrong. Where are the studies that prove government schools teach anything? Where are the studies that separate the knowledge acquired in the home from that ( supposedly) learned in the classroom.?

And....Since you know so much, where are the studies to back up your opinion.
