Savage does not claim to be anything other than an independent. His $500 donation to Brown in a campaign years ago is hardly the “liberal” stance you suggest. Savage’s arguments about borders language and culture not only ring true they are true.

I’m glad he has done wonderful things for the troops. I respect that fully. But I also remember a lot of less than rational positions he’s taken.
