MIAMIWhen speaking about his oft-criticized and overanalyzed star, LeBron James, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has a line: you cannot win unless you win.
ames won in every conceivable way on Thursday as his Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 in Game 5 of the finals to win James's first NBA title, erasing nine years of doubts and disappointment.
The man dubbed "The King" while in high school finally had his coronation, and while the game will go down in history as James' vindication party, it will not be remembered as particularly dramatic. The Heat opened it up in the third quarter with five 3-pointers and led by 24 to start the fourth quarter.
James played a great 44 minutes for his final act of the season, putting together a triple-double with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds to set a steady pace for a championship drubbing.
Miami became the most disliked team in the NBA in 2010 when James ditched the Cleveland Cavaliers to team up with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade to form a megateam in South Florida.

That should cement his legacy now. This is Dwayne Wade's second ring.
Sucks.
Would have liked to see OKC win it.
Put 2 minutes on the clock, give each team 100 points and you have a basketball game.
Since they can take as many steps as they want without dribbling, why not give them helmets and pads, loosen up the rules on contact and make a real game at it by letting the players really charge the basket.
Oh well, different strokes for different folks I guess. Basketball is just too ppredictable for me to find it interesting
And in Seattle, people are smiling.
Let the celebrations riots and burnings begin.
sad night here in Ohio..LOL
Me too.
Miami was amazingly quiet when the Heat won in 2006.
DVR Spoiler!
Actually good for Libtard LeBron. He’s going to eclipse Libtard Michael Jordan. I still love the best of the best no matter how they vote...I reserve the right to revise and extend my remarks.
Jordan was very quiet about his politics. I don’t think anyone really knows.
No offence. I refer to get that news here. When I get a news alert so late it makes me wonder if it's something serious... like North Korea or Iran.
Don’t forget nude cannibalism.
Well, isn’t that special.
Sadly MJ is a Libtard.
You can find it on The Google...
The Heat should get the Tim Donaghy NBA Championship award from Vince McMahon.
Let’s guess who’ll be next year’s villain?
LeBron grew up this year. He earned it. He deserves it.
But you can be certain you have not heard the last of KD and the Thunder. As Scott Brooks puts it, we weren’t losing. We were learning how to win. Next year: OKC.
At least someone gets it. Anyone that can’t give him credit just wasn’t watching.
