are homosexuals also capable of being a pedophile??? sure. Pedophilia is all about the age group who one picks is about their sexuality those who prefer their sex and those who prefer the opposite sex. There are all too many heterosexual pedophiles out there to suggest that if one is a pedophile one must therefore be homosexual
If we back up from what I wrote and go to the testimony, then, McQueary called Joe Paterno on Saturday morning and after briefly hearing the subject, Paterno asked McQueary to come to his house.
Paterno said that his 28-year-old former quarterback was visibly shaken and upset. We know from Paterno's own testimony that he was told on Saturday morning that Sandusky was in the shower with a small boy. He knew Sandusky was doing something 'sexual' and 'inappropriate' (Paterno's own words) to the boy, and that what McQueary saw greatly upset him.
Paterno testified that he didn't tell anyone else on Saturday because he didn't want to spoil anyone's weekend. That's a statement that really fell with a thud in the public's ear. Sandusky had done something sexual and inappropriate to a kid the night before, but Paterno didn't report it because it might spoil somebody's weekend.
(Later, when Paterno retained a PR firm, he said that his delay was due to the fact that he needed the time to be certain that he did the right thing.)
So, after thinking for a day about Sandusky doing something 'sexual' and 'inappropriate' to a boy, Paterno called the Athletic Director. He's the only person Paterno called.
How does Schultz get into this? Schultz testified that he was called into a meeting between Paterno and Curley. Based on the testimony, it appears Curley contacted Schultz. As pointed out, when you look at an organizational chart, the idea that Schultz 'was the university police' is ludicrous. As the Grand Jury presentment points out, nobody within the university police department was ever notified of this by Schultz, Curley, or Paterno.
Incidentally, Mike McQueary's father, John, followed up with Gary Schultz a few months after the incident, checking to see what had been done. That's how serious the episode was as described by Mike McQueary to his father. Joe Paterno, once my hero, never followed up regarding the man who had been his assistant coach for over thirty years (and defensive coordinator for over 20), regarding his graduate assistant, regarding his football showers.
“Apparently folks are willing for fatherless boys to be raped in order to protect their sports business.”

This has been a real eye opener for me. I am stunned that Paterno has the defenders that he has. Stunned.
Thank you for the detailed information and clarity you provide. Now I am even angrier that people still try to spin this.
