European plane maker Airbus intends to build its first U.S. plant in Mobile, Ala., a person with knowledge of the plans told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Airbus will assemble its A320 jet there, according to the person, who requested anonymity because a public announcement has not been made. The A320 is a widely used plane flown by U.S. airlines including Delta and US Airways.

Two bets here.
Manufacturing in Europe is going to get more difficult in the next 10-20 years.
The current DOL and FLRA officials will be gone in the US by Spingtime.

When Airbus was competing for the USAF KC-X tanker program, they would have built A330-based KC-45 tankers in Mobile.
Airbus wants to have a production facility in the US because worldwide aircraft sales are priced in US Dollars, but right now all of their labor costs are prices in Euros. When the Euro-Dollar price fluxuates, they can lose billions.

I thought Resident Obama told us that “out sourcing” was bad. Maybe that only applies in Michigan and Wisconsin.

What is Obama’s NLRB to do? They sued Boeing in SC, now foreign investment in other right to work states. This cannot stand!
