Tom Cruise’s ‘33’ problem: He’s split with all 3 of his wives when they hit that age

For Tom Cruise, 33 is an unlucky number when it comes to love.

All three of Tom Cruise’s ill-fated marriages have come to an end when his wives were 33, which just happens to be a significant number for the actor’s Church of Scientology.

The original membership organization for the controversial religious group, the Hubbard Association of Scientologists, was founded in Phoenix, Arizona, which lies on the 33rd parallel, Perez Hilton reports.

The number is also the known as the “Master Teacher,” which represents altruism and raising mankind’s positive energy in numerology, according to Seven Life Path.

The characteristics of the “Master Teacher” closely resemble the philosophy behind Scientology, which seeks “to enable Man to improve his lot through understanding,” according to the religion’s official website.

Cruise, who joined the religious group in the 1980s, tied the knot with actress Mimi Rogers when she was 31 in May 1987. The two split just a few years later.

Cruise then wed Nicole Kidman when she was 23 in 1990. The actor filed for divorce in 2001 just two months after the pair renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary.

Katie Holmes announced that she was filing for divorce from the star Friday due to “irreconcilable differences.” The couple have been married for five years.

In each failed marriage, the wives were 33 when the breakups were announced. The first two splits weren’t finalized until the wives were 34.

The bombshell breakup with Holmes is the first time the “Top Gun” star isn’t the one filing the divorce papers.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star reportedly decided to split with Cruise because she was concerned that the actor would “drag” their 6-year-old daughter Suri farther in to the religion as she gets older, according to TMZ.

A rep for Cruise said the actor is devastated by news of the split.

The couple’s divorce, when finalized, will not be recognized by Scientology.

“The estranged couple have been raising Suri in accordance with the doctrine of the Church of Scientology - treating her as an adult, free to make her own decisions.”

Having been divorced 3 times, all I can say is "meh... as long as she is gone"

I've since come to my senses, and become a celibate and hardly anyone is allowed in the house. It safer that way for everyone. I can't afford to buy any more houses for wimmen that hate me.

There are a few people here who have an interest in Scientology- at least one here who is a Scientologist, some who adamantly have defended but claim they aren’t Scientologists..and some who think it is a dangerous scam.....with political ramifications.

If you aren’t interested - you don’t have to read the thread

Herd it was due to the pre nup. After 10 years of being married the pre nup expires and the partner can get half of everything. He has ended his previous marriages just prior to the ten year deadline.

The number 33 is mega important to the Masons also, an important early lodge is on the 33rd parallel on the east coast.

If you head south on I-10 out of the center of Phoenix, you will drive 40 miles before you hit the 33rd parallel.

Note: Don't use Perez Hilton as a source.

I think it partly had to do with the age of Suri. She can be security checked now. Katie Holmes might have also balked at Suri being part of the Sea Org.

Katie is getting out just as the Leader’s father is defecting..and the founders granddaughter is also out.

Katie Holmes repudiating her last seven years?
Exclusive: I’m told Katie Holmes has fired her publicist, the very good Ina Trecoikas, and has returned to Nancy Ryder, Leslie Sloane and BWR after seven years. Amazing stuff! This is a clear signal that Holmes is repudiating her last seven years. More to come…Radaronline.com is reporting that Katie will retain primary custody of Suri. But my emails to Cruise’s publicist regarding the subject have gone unanswered…also whether Scientology was cause of the rift…

Rewind: I met Katie Holmes on April 4, 2005 on the opening night of “Steel Magnolias” on Broadway. She was there to support her friend, Rebecca Gayheart. At the intermission, Katie and I discussed the fact that she’d moved to New York, was excited to do theater and indie films. The world was her oyster. Two weeks later, she turned up in Rome, in love with Tom Cruise.

According to her reps, she’d gone to Los Angeles to interview for “Mission: Impossible 3.” “We never heard from her again,” the rep said. In short order, Holmes fired publicist Leslie Sloane. No one she knew could explain what had happened. Between April 11 and the 27th, there was no record of what happened to her. Katie Holmes' Missing Days Once she was with Cruise, she was never out of his sight.

Two years later, after she’d married Cruise, had Suri, and was mostly off the radar, Holmes materialized at a Giorgio Armani fashion show held at Ron Burkle’s estate in Hollywood. She looked dazed when I approached her and said, “Do you remember me? You disappeared.” She replied, “I fell in love.” Immediately, Tom’s sister and mother came between us physically, and Katie’s Scientology minders appeared as well. She was being watched closely. For most of the first year, she was followed everywhere by Jessica Feschbach. Her family had given millions to Scientology.

The best example of all this was a frightening interview with Holmes the August 2005 W Magazine by Rob Haskell. Feshbach answered Holmes’s questions for her, and said to the actress of Cruise–in front of Haskell–” you adore him.” Katie More Zombie-Like Than Ever

Holmes, Sweet Holmes

Not any more.

I would love for someone to do an in-depth investigation of the Scientologists. They are big power-players in Hollywood and Hollywood in becoming increasingly important in national politics.

How embarrassing - We made a big deal out of a friend’s 33rd birthday because it was when a Hobbit came of age ...

had I known it was associated with Scientology, I never would have gone along with it.

Her 5 year contract is up. It was indeed a contract and it expired this year. Cruise is VERY gay. He was one of the very very gay David Geffen’s “house boys” back in the day before he made it big. Oddly enough, so was Brad Pitt who was eye candy around the house for Geffen & Co. before he became famous. Pitt, FYI, is not gay. Like a lot of others Pitt knew that one of the roads to fame is Geffen. Geffen is the guy behind the curtain who splices these kinds of deals together. He was likely the one that got Cher to “reveal” that she had a “secret romance” with Cruise. Yea, sure she did. Wink wink...

Miss Holmes has been very well paid and will continue to be well paid. Her job is not over. The sham marriage may be but now we will get all the phony stories about who gets what, the bogus custody battle, etc. It is drama time. Lights! Camera! Action! The magazines and talk shows will do their job. Story after story of what led up to the “divorce” will be told. Some of it will tell the tale of how “not-gay” Cruise is. It is all scripted and entirely fake. It’s Hollywood!

Holmes will never spill the beans. She is being very well paid and she likely wants to continue acting. And she will be acting. Maybe in movies for Deamworks? You betcha.

Oh, one last thing. Ms. Holmes was one of two actresses in the running for the 5 year deal with Cruise. She beat out Jessica Biel.

There have been plenty of in depth investigations into Scientology.

Katie is in for a tough fight.

Cruise is coming for her..and so is Scientology

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2012/06/tom-cruise-file-divorce-california-exclusive

They keep their members because of fear. If Katie doesn’t pay a price for her actions others might think they can defect, too. Scientology really brainwashes it’s people.

There are plenty of connections between Scientology and Politics...such as Clinton getting favorable treatment in Primary Colors in exchange for......

My 58 year old husband grew up near Hollywood, became a millionaire before 25, and went to a few Hollywood parties. Some starlet bragged about her 20+ abortions. That nipped hobnobbing in the bud for him. Nothing you’ve said is surprising and I have no problem believing it.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star reportedly decided to split with Cruise because she was concerned that the actor would “drag” their 6-year-old daughter Suri farther in to the religion as she gets older, according to TMZ.

And Katie didn't realize this before she got married? Hello?
