For Tom Cruise, 33 is an unlucky number when it comes to love.
All three of Tom Cruise’s ill-fated marriages have come to an end when his wives were 33, which just happens to be a significant number for the actor’s Church of Scientology.
The original membership organization for the controversial religious group, the Hubbard Association of Scientologists, was founded in Phoenix, Arizona, which lies on the 33rd parallel, Perez Hilton reports.
The number is also the known as the “Master Teacher,” which represents altruism and raising mankind’s positive energy in numerology, according to Seven Life Path.
The characteristics of the “Master Teacher” closely resemble the philosophy behind Scientology, which seeks “to enable Man to improve his lot through understanding,” according to the religion’s official website.
Cruise, who joined the religious group in the 1980s, tied the knot with actress Mimi Rogers when she was 31 in May 1987. The two split just a few years later.
Cruise then wed Nicole Kidman when she was 23 in 1990. The actor filed for divorce in 2001 just two months after the pair renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary.
Katie Holmes announced that she was filing for divorce from the star Friday due to “irreconcilable differences.” The couple have been married for five years.
In each failed marriage, the wives were 33 when the breakups were announced. The first two splits weren’t finalized until the wives were 34.
The bombshell breakup with Holmes is the first time the “Top Gun” star isn’t the one filing the divorce papers.
The former “Dawson’s Creek” star reportedly decided to split with Cruise because she was concerned that the actor would “drag” their 6-year-old daughter Suri farther in to the religion as she gets older, according to TMZ.
A rep for Cruise said the actor is devastated by news of the split.
The couple’s divorce, when finalized, will not be recognized by Scientology.
IMO TC is a $hithead.

There are a few people here who have an interest in Scientology- at least one here who is a Scientologist, some who adamantly have defended but claim they aren’t Scientologists..and some who think it is a dangerous scam.....with political ramifications.

I think it partly had to do with the age of Suri. She can be security checked now. Katie Holmes might have also balked at Suri being part of the Sea Org.

Her 5 year contract is up. It was indeed a contract and it expired this year. Cruise is VERY gay. He was one of the very very gay David Geffen’s “house boys” back in the day before he made it big. Oddly enough, so was Brad Pitt who was eye candy around the house for Geffen & Co. before he became famous. Pitt, FYI, is not gay. Like a lot of others Pitt knew that one of the roads to fame is Geffen. Geffen is the guy behind the curtain who splices these kinds of deals together. He was likely the one that got Cher to “reveal” that she had a “secret romance” with Cruise. Yea, sure she did. Wink wink...
Miss Holmes has been very well paid and will continue to be well paid. Her job is not over. The sham marriage may be but now we will get all the phony stories about who gets what, the bogus custody battle, etc. It is drama time. Lights! Camera! Action! The magazines and talk shows will do their job. Story after story of what led up to the “divorce” will be told. Some of it will tell the tale of how “not-gay” Cruise is. It is all scripted and entirely fake. It’s Hollywood!
Holmes will never spill the beans. She is being very well paid and she likely wants to continue acting. And she will be acting. Maybe in movies for Deamworks? You betcha.
Oh, one last thing. Ms. Holmes was one of two actresses in the running for the 5 year deal with Cruise. She beat out Jessica Biel.
So, let me guess. A “Kabumpo” is a bunch of multiple redundant bumps!

My 58 year old husband grew up near Hollywood, became a millionaire before 25, and went to a few Hollywood parties. Some starlet bragged about her 20+ abortions. That nipped hobnobbing in the bud for him. Nothing you’ve said is surprising and I have no problem believing it.
