Is you a man, or is you a mouse? - Prep what you can, don’t argue with the wife; just smile that poop eatin’ smile we all love so well, and prep what you can. Bring home one prepper item a day. Just do it!
Meantime, relax and enjoy what you are blessed with.
Unfortunately, I am going to try to enjoy what I am blessed with for as long as I can. If she felt the same, things might be different. But she doesn’t.
I sat down with her a year or so ago for a serious discussion and said: “What do you think is happening? Where do think things will be five years from now?”
She thinks things will continue on as they have.
Being a student of history, I know that history is chock full of people who had all the comforts of a modern society, money, food, housing, etc., all of which they mostly took for granted..then one day, they find themselves walking down an icy road with worn out shoes, no food or money, trying to escape from something or go to something. They had a vibrant life, and whether it was the Vandals, the British, the Indians, the Yankees, the Nazis, the NVA, or even their fellow citizens, they had to leave it all behind to survive.
Well, I have been with her for the better, and will be with her for the worse.
