A Jordanian MP pulled out a pistol to briefly threaten his debate opponent while the host of the programme tried to separate the two.
During a heated television debate, Jordanian MP Mohammed Shawabka threw his shoe at his activist opponent, Mansour Sayf al-Din Murad, before pulling his pistol out and pointing it at him.
The programme host, Mohammed Hasbashneh, tried to intervene to separate the two, but to little success.
The debate was abruptly stopped and taken off air...

You know I kind of pine for the days that our gutless politicians were ready to settle disputes on the field of honor at twenty paces. Where are the Aaron Burr’s and Alexander Hamilton’s of yester-year here in the good old U S of A? I’m not so sure it has a lot to do with the ROP but rather that some cultures still have a sense of honor that we lost long ago.
