UPDATE: Man Accused of Binding Wife with Chains, Beating Her for 10 Years

UPDATE 7/10/12 @ 10:45 p.m. JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police say what happened down Miller Hollow Road in Jackson County for 10 years is horrendous.

"This is a case that is tenfold of what our average domestic is and maybe more than that. It comes down to what appears to be slavery and torture, it seems to be the aspects of this case," Jackson County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Tony Boggs said.

Peter Lizon was arrested on malicious wounding charges; he may face more as the investigation unfolds.

Sheriff’s deputies say it all began when Lizon's wife showed up at a crisis center in Parkersburg, W.Va.

They say she had scars on her wrists and ankles because she was chained up with metal padlocks, and her feet were badly mutilated because Lizon allegedly smashed them with a scoop on a farm tractor.

They say she was also badly burned after she was hit with a hot frying pan. Furthermore, she suffered a miscarriage -- allegedly because of the abuse and had to give birth to another child while being chained up.

This one is a bit close to home here. Can’t really sort out the truth of it can we? Is it being reported locally. You know I never watch the news.

The unending chorus this year of how much people dislike Mitt, but are voting for him anyway due to their well-founded, overwhelming, validated fear, repulsion and loathing of 0bama which compels them, with an abundance of logic, reason and prudence, to vote for the opposing candidate with the best odds of defeating 0bama
Fixed that for ya!

Remember, it's not all about Romney; for many (including me) it's about defeating 0bama. Now, if you have a different, more conservative candidate with better odds than Romney of defeating 0bama -- well, I'm all ears.

Thanks much for proving my point quite eloquently.

There are places in West Virginia that I honestly think “The Dead Milkmen” (real name of rock band) wrote the song “Tiny Town” about.

Here it is...

The Dead Milkmen. “Tiny Town”

Hello, my name is Billy Bob and I don’t give a damn
I got myself some white sheets straight from the Ku Klux Klan
I got myself a daughter and she’s a Mongoloid
Because I married my sister and our gene pool’s been destroyed
Let’s do it!

This is a tiny town
And we don’t want you comin’ round
(x2)
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/d/dead_milkmen/tiny_town.html ]
We got ourself a sheriff and his name’s Bobby Joe
One day he said to me “Them punk rockers gotta go”
So we hopped into his pickup truck with a gun rack on the back
And we beat up on them punks and we beat up on them blacks
Because

This is a tiny town
And we don’t want you comin’ round
(x2)

So if you should happen to come to our little town
It might be wise if you didn’t hang around
‘Cause we hate blacks and we hate Jews
And we hate punks but we love the F.U.s
Let’s do it!

This is a tiny town
And we don’t want you comin’ round
(x2)

Then you whole-heartedly agree that the original comparison you made is flawed and the voters are fleeing the abuser (0bama). In *droves*. Hopefully, it continues. Glad to see you started thinking with your head, instead of your emotions!

I guess you missed my point entirely. That's fine. Enjoy voting for evil. I'm not playing their games anymore.

So by your thinking, voting to defeat 0bama is (ahem) "evil". I defy you to explain the logic undelying that conclusion. Nevermind...

Here, let me help you out: Instead of branding everyone who hopes to defeat 0bama as "evil" without believable substantiation, you could promote whoever it is that *YOU* are voting for and make your case as to how *YOUR* candidate will have a better odds of defeating 0bama. And we are all ears!

Because if you can't do that, then you logically establish yourself as disapproving of the candidate currently having the best odds of defeating 0bama (who most everyone around here regards as the true evil, without argument). I'm sure 0bama appreciates the support. Hey, what do you know -- That sort of aligns *YOU* closer to evil, doesn't it?

after giving it some though, my 20 gage holds 5 shells...how about I start with the feet up close and personal and work my way to the head. Or one could just stay with the head until its gone...

My dad was a cop, retired in 1950 and I remember watching him make his own bullets for that BIG 6 shooter he used. No little guns back in those days...When he retired he used the form to make sinkers for fishing. (for a little girl that gun looked like a cannon)

Voting for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil. I'm sometimes amazed at how thick the supporters of the establishment can be.
Perhaps pictures will help.

I’m amazed at how infinitely dense you 0bama-pimpers can be. You can keep pathetically trying to change the subject and dodge my very, simple question, but each time you 0bama-pimpers reply I will pose the same, simple, innocent question: Who are you going to vote for?

Your “Capt Obvious” routine is wasted bandwidth. Everyone knows Romney is a RINO. Perhaps you picture yourself as a valued messenger? You’re just a parrot. And not a very good one at that. Everyone knows Romney’s faults. It’s been done to death and *still* he is in the lead. What you consistently fail to do is present your alternative. Who are you going to vote for?

Romney’s polling increases day by day. He is (unfortunately) leading all other challengers to 0bama. Barring divine intervention between now and Nov 6th, it appears that Romney will be the next President. What do you think about that? Or, would you rather fess-up and tell us who you are going to vote for?

It is a simple question: Who are you going to vote for, if not the GOP candidate?

Neither is it a trick question. So just dig down deep into what’s left of your personal integrity (if there is any left) and state your alternative: Who are you going to vote for?

Sorry, bub, but people who vote Mitt who can’t stand Mitt are terrified of 4 more years of Obama & Co.

You’re mixing up apples with oranges.

As to the Republican party problem, people havn’t know for sure what to DO about it, because third party votes are throw away votes.

The Tea Party Movement is the best answer yet that is ATTEMPTING to do something about the Republican party problem.

It, too, is not under the heading of people wanting to stand by their abusers, but rather people in search of an effective way to do something about it.

If this is what you truly take from the political truths out there for all to see, I wonder why?

Why can’t you take the political truths about our country for what they are, instead of seeing all of them as a metaphor for enabled wife abuse...

???

UPDATE: Attorney Says Man Accused of Holding Wife Hostage for 10 Years is Innocent

A woman staying at the shelter told police she saw the victim’s scars, bruises and burns.
“I think the allegations are a product of a fertile imagination from someone who heard part of a story and decided to make it their own,” Bayliss said. “Just because someone is at a shelter doesn’t mean they’re a victim of crime.”
