The lesson to be learned here? If you’re a US citizen never,*ever* have a kid with someone who’s a citizen of *any* foreign country unless you’re prepared to have that child taken from this country without your consent.

Appears to be that if you knowingly and willingly agree to a binding, joint custody arrangement in a foreign country before a foreign judge and later decide you want to violate that perfectly valid agreement and flee the country, then you can reasonably expect some sort of prosecution to be pursued against you.

Looks like she's fishing for sympathy to help get herself out of her self-made mess. All I can tell her is, "go fish".

Actually the kid will get dual citizenship his entire life because Ireland and the US have agreed to it that way.

The woman was wrong because she broke the agreeement.

You paint way to broad a stroke with your anti-foreigner BS. My wife isn’t from the US your basically saying that I should never have married her - screw your opinionated knee-jerk response.
