external drive and a Faraday cage.
All that solar stuff in the next year or so...
I thought everything was fine because Carbonite would have all my data and just tossed it.
Does anyone know if I can get my pictures I have on Facebook into a new folder on my computer?
Is it possible to take the hard drive out of my old blown Dell computer (tower) and some how save what is on it and get it onto my new Dell? cant seem to get anything from Carbonite backup.
Sure. It should be a fairly simple matter to chain your old hard drive into the new unit as a D, E, or F drive. You will need a power jump from the power supply (you may be able to steal one from a DVD/DVD-R if you don’t have a spare usually there is at least one) and either a SATA or, if older, an IDE connector. I deal with Amazon for cables, but even Wal-Mart should have what you need.
When you boot, Windows will recognize the drive, assign it a sequential letter and there ya go.

Should be able to do a right click and “save as” or “save target as”.
The pixel resolution probably won’t be the same as when you uploaded it but it’s better than nothing.
