The moment brave cat lands knockout left hook on shocked Pomeranian
UK Daily Mail ^ | July 12, 2012 | Graham Smith

The look on his face is one of complete surprise. In a case of David versus Goliath, this is the moment a Pomeranian is shocked to be on the receiving end of a left hook from a feline nemesis. For centuries, the traditional foes have been locked in battle with one another, with dogs normally having the upper hand. But this freeze frame captures the exact moment that status quo is shattered as a Siamese cat takes his revenge.

I had a 14-pound Siamese male named Finn MacCoul.

He was solid muscle and quick as thought, and he did have a mean streak thanks to his ggg grandfather, one Thaibok Teriyaki, who may have been the meanest, baddest Siamese cat EVER (I thought it was far enough back to have attenuated . . . but, no). Finny was an indoor cat, but he would routinely sneak out of the house and "guard" our territory.

All the dogs in the neighborhood were terrified of him. He would smack their noses around a bit, then leap on their backs and sharpen his claws on the backs of their heads as they ran for dear life. Size didn't seem to matter - Boxers, Swiss Mountain Dogs, Border collies, whatever. Even two Labs at one time did not faze him. The one dog we had then was intensely respectful of him.

Dogs crossed the street rather than come into our yard.

In a case of David versus Goliath

A Pomeranian is not "Goliath" to any cat. That goes doubly so for a Siamese because every one I've met is completely insane. Take every bit of typical cat craziness and multiply it by ten to get a Siamese.

The cat is showing excellent technique. I nice right hand body punch that got the Pommy to lower it’s guard followed by the left hook to the jaw.

This cat’s a CONTENDA!

No Goliath there. They’re evenly matched.

Miss Kitty here hates the 100+ pound slobber buckets that inhabit her domain. Normally, they avoid her but if they get within range it’s a dozen rapid blam blam blams on their heads. Thankfully, they just look at her all sad and wander away. She doesn’t realize she’s snack sized.

“Brave Cat”?....hardly.....another Pomeranian is the innocent victim of a thug cat mugger.

“Gimme your milkbone or your life!”, screamed Fluffy the criminal cat.

I have a bobtail cat that just showed up one day and never left. He is an abuser of dogs. If any of my dogs crosses his invisible line of space, they pay for it.

I had a Siamese that used to sit in the center of the stairs. The Schnauzer wouldn’t dare try to pass.

I don’t think a dog normally has the upper hand. In my house, the cat can force the medium sized dog to back off any time it wants. A cat is a killing machine, and a dog soon knows its place. As someone once said, “If your cat were as large as your dog, you would be lunch.”

Your cat is probably a Bobcat or Lynx. Sometimes they are also called “Tufted Ear Devils”. If a two hundred pound kitty shows up at your house, that will probably be a Mountain Lion or Cougar or, as it is more commonly known down South, a “mean, long-tailed son-of-a-bit__”. I saw a report where a mountain lion killed a couple of wolves.
“If you go out in the woods today you’re going to get a surprise!”
Cats....they think people are here for their amusement and consumption.

I would never own a Siamese. I would rate them as the most vicious “domestic” cat breed. Some are just plain mean, the rest will turn on you when you least expect it. JMHO.

We had a cat lady down the street that had probably 100 cats. Of all the breeds, only the Siamese kept to themselves. The first time I walked in the house, we walked down the hall and looked to the right to see about 8 Siamese sitting on a table staring us down. Cat Lady said “You do NOT want to go in there, EVER.”

I visited that house several times and it was always the same. I will never forget that experience.
