Happy Valley is like a Hermit Kingdom, nestled in the middle of nowhere, accessible only by plane, especially in the wintertime......they had complete control over the media, they would pull credentials in a heartbeat if anyone dare say anything bad about the program. That’s why Sandusky/Paterno got away with things there they could not have gotten away with at other schools.
I drove through it many times as my son went to school west of there. Yeah it is pretty remote. Even saw a mother bear with cubs on the side of the interstate just hangin out.
I think Pa just wanted it to go away but didn’t have the courage to make it happen. Not only did Pa need to call the state police. The junior coach who saw it should have hit him over the head with a chair and called the state authorities
