Believe it or not, the song "The Blob" was one of the first successes for the songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David, who would have a string of hits in the 1960's.
The Five Blobs had the big hit, but the song was also waxed by the Zanies, a Los Angeles group, on the Dore label.
