PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- An Oregon man who stripped nude at Portland's airport security to protest what he saw as invasive measures was found not guilty of indecent exposure.

Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge David Rees ruled Wednesday that John Brennan's act was one of protest and therefore, protected speech.

Why not? It might produce theresults we haven’t been able to achieve by writing letter or scowling aggreably to each other in like-minded web forums.

Purposeful political nudity in this case with the TSA makes sense.

“I was aware of the irony of removing my clothes to protect my privacy,”

Ergo, I presume before long we will be hearing of child rapists using the “irony defense” to protect children?

I would hope people don’t think this is an acceptable way to protest.

There already are many, many immature people who strip for political protests, such as PETA. (but realistically,it is because they are exhibitionists who want an excuse). I don't like those people at all, but this guy is ok with me.

There was a young law student named Rex
who had very small organs of sex.
When charged with exposure
he said with composure
de minimis non curat lex

That could have turned out very differently for him. I would hope people don’t think this is an acceptable way to protest.

Why don't you just whisper "be afraid, cringe, crawl, tremble, weep" and be done with it?
