A qyestion, Mr. President...

Recently, and to much notoriety, President Obama said this:

"If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

Really! Who? I always thought it was me putting in the 80 hour weeks, paying everybody else before myself, interfacing with bankers and suppliers to provide the things the team needed to get the job done.

Really! Who? I always thought it was me putting in the 80 hour weeks, paying everybody else before myself, interfacing with bankers and suppliers to provide the things the team needed to get the job done.

I thought it was me who sometimes sat on the edge of the bed at 3 am, trying to see a way to Continue. We always did, but it was sometimes not an easy thing. I thought I was alone there in the night, puzzling for Answers.

I thought it was me who worried about the taxes being paid, and filling out all the forms demanded by all the bureaucrats. And the tax man and the bureaucrats always assured me it was MY ass alone that would go to jail if any jots or tittles were misplaced.

I didn't see you there, Mr. Obama. I didn't see anybody else, either. Yes, I used the roads and other infrastructure, but that wasn't supplied as a gift from the all-benevolent Fed or the State, or anybody else -- all the other little businessmen and I paid our taxes all along the way, and those taxes paid for those infrastructure items.

I'm trying to understand just who it was, that "somebody else who made that happen" was. I didn't see anybody at the time.

Can you perhaps supply me with some names, Mr. President?

Obama’s Marxism is showing. He believes that businesses all are built on exploitation of the worker.

For the first time in the history of this Country we have a President who downgrades the importance of being smart and says that it is more important in being sucessful the art of recieving help from others.

odumbi must not continue....or iow, If odumbi continues America will not.

[L]ook, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.
