President Obama will be using Seattle as a political ATM again next Tuesday (Seattle)

President Obama will be using Seattle as a political ATM again next Tuesday, making his fourth fund-raising foray into the Puget Sound area with no public events on the Obama schedule.

The 44th president will hold a “Grassroots Event” in Portland — he is running weaker in Oregon polls than in Washington — at which he will outline plans for reviving the stagnant economy.

President Barack Obama on a Seattle visit. Trips in 2012 campaign have included no public events. Obama will also hold two fund-raisers in the Rose City, following three at an earlier Oakland, Calif. stop. He does hold another public event in Reno, Nev. Nevada is considered a “Swing State.”

The Seattle visit will feature a $5,000-per-person dinner, with a $7,500 tab ($12,500 for couples) to get a picture taken with the President. The Obama campaign estimates 100 to 175 people will be at the event.

“This is likely the last time the President will be in Seattle,” reads the invite.

A special guest will be Penny Pritzker, the Chicago business leader (Hyatt Hotels) who chaired Obama’s finance committee from start to finish in the 2008 campaign.

The Obama trips have contrasted with those by the last Democratic president. Bill Clinton used public events and sun-splashed summer rallies in 1992 and 1996 to nail down the electoral votes of Washington and Oregon, before concentrating on more contested turf in the fall.

Clinton held a posh fund-raiser at the Columbia Tower Club, and Hillary Clinton dined under a tent at the Laurelhurst digs of lawyer-shipping executive Stan Barer.

But Bill Clinton also met with students in a Shoreline Community College job-retraining program, and did a Seattle-to-Portland bus tour with Vice President Al Gore. Gore did a multiplicity of public events in the 2000 campaign cycle.

Obama is facing a massive Republican fund-raising blitz that includes the Romney campaign, the Romney Victory Fund (which has raised $140 million), the Republican National Committee and such SuperPACs as Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS.

With a big SuperPAC boost, pro-Romney and anti-Obama TV spots currently enjoy a two-to-one advantage in airtime over ads boosting the President.

Still, in 2008, Obama mounted the largest, best-organized grassroots “ground game” in American history. Even in Washington, a “safe” state, Democrats “coordinated campaign” opened 27 campaign offices.

The Obama visits here have usually consisted of a $35,800-a-couple brunch — hard to hold on an evening visit — along with a $1,000 a person ($5,000 to have your picture taken) low-budget affair.

MO visits Birmingham, AL to campaign for him. She visited on an ‘official capacity’ for ‘tornado recovery’ so the campaign didn’t have to pay for her trip. WE did.

The Looney Left there will be thrilled to bring him their money...sort of like an offering that Christians give to their Lord and Master. They are True Believers in Progressive (Marxist) doctrine. The First Dictator will bless them with another visit if his cash runs out, and he needs to churn out more sleazy TV ads.

He learned from Hillary when she went there to promote Bill’s healthcare plan: DON’T do it on a Saturday, when the actual tax PAYERS are free to show up. It may not go well for you.

BTW, I was there. I was in the “inner circle” area using one of her “give ‘em healthcare, Hillary” as a bullhorn. I actually caught her eye with one comment. It was great. I said, “Thanks mom!”

We shut her down. It was a Saturday.

I hope the Dim masses totally empty their pockets for BO. God

WA has a fair chance in gaining the governor's office back from Ad nauseam / Ad infinitum Dim control. Every dollar to BO will be that many fewer dollars in Jay Inslee’s (D-Stupid with a weird mouth) pockets

“She visited on an ‘official capacity’ for ‘tornado recovery’”

MO and “recovery” are an oxymoron.

Who cares? There are enough FReepers who advocate reelecting Obama, so why not send him some money or hope he raises tons of cash?

After all, it’s really really important that we don’t elect Mitt Romney. (Do I really need a sarcasm tag here?)

“at which he will outline plans for reviving the stagnant economy”

I can’t wait! Seriously. I really wonder what kind BS this putz will be shoveling this time.

OK, I’m going to make some wild guesses here and to be perfectly fair, I’m warning everyone ahead of time that this is a spoiler alert, and not to read further if you want to wait until Tuesday to hear the plans directly from our Teleprompter-Reader-in-Chief, but here I go anyway:

“The Plan” is to have the Federal government spend more money and raise taxes! That’s it. Nothing else. No regulatory relief, no tax relief, no deficit spending relief. Nada. Just tax and spend and spend and tax.

Sure, I know some of you may think that I’m so prescient in my predilections as to be almost supernatural, but modest fellow that I am, I disclaim right off the bat any such supernatural aid. I really do. I’ve merely relied upon my vastly superior intellect in order to elucidate these amazing prognostications. My keen judgement. My computer-like brain. My encyclopedic memory. So, my good friends, on Tuesday, we’ll know once and for all just how good of an analyst I am: Will our Communist-in-Chief come up with something new and different from tax and spend, (or is that spend and tax?), or will his plan for saving the economy from the destruction he deliberately wrought just be same ol’, same ol’?
