I got this 1943 vintage RR 1911A1 several decades ago for 20 bucks. It was pretty beat up from having been hauled around in a tool box of heavy wrenches on back of a D-8 Cat for several years. I cleaned it up, relieved ejection port and slapped a set of the old Micro sights on it. Using said sights for aimed fire with original barrel, it is amazingly accurate.
