Are very telling

Obama’s numbers are sinking faster
After the “You didn’t build that!” disaster
All of his lackeys and all of his toads
Claim “that’s” antecedent is “bridges and roads”
He should have said “those,” says this usageaster
Or is English a language he cannot master?
Obama thinks that all our swimmers are cool
But reminds them that someone else filled up the pool
so desperate he’s calling on the bubbaloon to introduce him at the convention? THAT’s desperate!
My dear, every five year-old knows that the correct spelling of McDONALD is E-I-E-I-O.
Milo says usageaster just means them flatlanders back east where the women have more hair on their faces then the pouting boys don’t like the way us hill folk talk.

I must confess that I’m a usageaster because the improper use of the apostrophe that I observe all the time really grates on me. The misplaced apostrophe is rampant on FreeRepublic, but neither of my highly educated sons seem to get it, either. I’ve learned not to correct them, however, or they’ll stop writing to me.
Usageaster was last Spring… next holiday is Usaglaborday*, then Usaghalloween*
What makes you say that?
The two errors I see constantly are the misuse of your/you’re and of/have. Perhaps of/have is a Texas thing, but it drives me nutty. (Example: Bammy should of kept his opinion to himself instead of blurting out his hatred of small business owners in the U.S.)
