Anyone else ever see this pop-up from the Obama campaign masquerading as news? The item is in the lower part of my screenshot.

This guy is an absolute scumbag, and it looks like Google is helping him publish his breaking 'news' stories..

Well... most people don’t know Romney was paid by Bain until around 2003..

That’s a paid ad. The headline is written as if breaking news. Not sure Google’s policies on misleading text, nor on sharing false information in their ads. I also doubt they would wade into regulating political ads...especially for a democrat.

Either way, it is not a new story, but a pay per click ad.

It is a paid ad, not a news story.

Oh, I get that it's a paid ad, and yes, I am pretty pissed off about it. This is basically a fake news story, and Google is more than happy to go along with it.

This is just the type of bullshit that is going to go on up to and after November 6th. I have seen Obama's pop up ads all over the 'net, I just haven't seen one as blatantly misleading as this one is.

Far be it from me to defend Google, but that is clearly labeled as an ad. And the First Amendment prohibits the carrier of a political ad from saying anything about the content.

It is annoying though. Yahoo bombards me with Democrat propaganda before allowing me to access my email. Time
for Reagan.com, I think.

Seen many commercials on TV lately? They do the same thing.

“This just breaking...”
