Not exactly.
Here’s the thing about college, probably 3/4 of the people in college really shouldn’t be. They aren’t there because they are passionate and WANT TO LEARN, they are simply there because “that’s what you do after high school”
They are wasting everyones time and money, and are a hinderance to those who are truly there for academic persuit.
So that means 3/4 of the people with college degrees were just killing time, but the other 1/4 or so truly are there to learn and grow and persue their passions. What the 3/4 waisting time learn is probably little more than you describe, what the 1/4 who are truly there for the right reasons learn is a completely different matter.
I was never once bullied into a liberal position by any professor, and challenged them openly when I had one, I did pay my dues in Liberal Arts classes that had no relation to my field of study, or desires, but like all things in life you have to do things you don’t want to do, in order to do the things you do want to do. I graduated from college even more convinced my political beliefs were better for society and humanity than I did when I entered college, because I saw first hand what the leftist nonsense brought.
And many of then go on to get a Pathetic Helpless and Dumb degree.
I would add that probably 50% of the "areas of study" are just as useless. I don't see a whole lot of openings for experts in the areas of feminine studies, or most of the "art" degrees out there.
