“... all women are built differently”.

I was over hearing a pre-teen conversation between my daughter and several of her friends. These girls were complaining they didn’t look like this star or that girl”. A complete focus on external qualities... nothing relevant to “who” they were. My daughter told them, “My Mom told me that God made women in all sorts of sizes, lengths and colors. Some are heavy, some are thin. Some are tall and some are short. But, He made them all perfect”.

There is so much focus on breast size with this thread. God designed breasts to feed an infant. I’ve known women that are small and some that are naturally quite large. I would rather women be confident with their natural body than to have silicone implants so they can be seen as “beautiful”.

You are right... women being able to be prim and proper, athletic, or somewhere in between is what makes America great. Every person is born with a natural talent of some sort. If that is athleticism, then I see that as a gift. (No different than any other gift we can be born possessing). One gift shouldn’t be ignored if a few call it “unfeminine”. IMHO.

While it is noticeable how many of the Olympic women are small breasted—and that was a main part of the article—but that hasn’t been what I’ve been trying to discuss. I know every woman is different in her body type, and that’s a good and godly thing.

My main point was to comment about the radical nature of feminism—which if you reflect on it, it has affected women’s athletics and the Olympics. Some for good....but often not.

It DOES seem to me that many women athletes I’ve seen on TV are not at all feminine behaving (including large-breasted Venus Williams), and related to that...that femininity in women generally is not valued or encouraged in Western culture today.

I haven’t intended to be personally offensive to you, and I appreciate your perspective.
