If I were king (as opposed to the Obama reign) I would tell every state if they expected energy to cross their borders in-bound, they would have to remove all obstacles for its production in-state.

IIRC, The DPRC (Democratic People’s Republic of California) has substantial oil reserves offshore - and banned offshore drilling. IF they would allow drilling, rights to this oil could give their state a boost.
Unfortunately, the DPRC state government would just blow the money on crap like high-speed rail, then be broke again...

Yeap, it’s hard to sympathize with Californians when they have the way out of their debt and bankruptcies sitting off their coast, and they don’t take advantage of it. It’s a microcosm of Obama’s America.

I was just up visiting Santa Barbara. We could see seven oil platforms off the coast. Rather than marring the beautiful view, they complemented it. They looked like a flotilla of Spanish galleons.

A few more won't kill anyone or destroy the view.

The "oil platforms" that were destroying the view were several perfectly good canvases on display at the art fair that were ruined by amateur artists.

Something's gotta be done about that! ;-)
