A male dog will take hhe “mission position” on another male dog only to express his domination. There really is no funny business going on at all. Only in the minds of men!

There ya go! Exactly. Males will also do this with altered females. One of my boys recently stopped just short of mounting one of our girls & it freaked me out, so I asked my vet. I hadn’t even thought of that.
