That is why I almost never put political stickers and especially NRA stickers on my vehicle anymore. There are numerous road rage reports from 10 years ago especially during the Bush era plus I don’t want my vehicle keyed.

NRA stickers present a special hazard in my opinion sometimes inviting theft(maybe a gun is in there) and it has also been known to interest police officers pulling NRA clad vehicles over looking for a problem that does not exist.

I was keyed for a conservative bumper sticker at least twoice. Yet I haven’t had it happen since I switched to a SurvivalBlog “OPSEC” flag decal. Maybe it just looks like an American flag to most passerby.

Ditto on the NRA stickers. I have reluctantly stopped putting ANYTHING on my vehicle that could be construed politically. In NE urban areas, NRA decals (or any “gun related” decals, and nowadays the Gadsen flag) WILL get you pulled over and hassled by LE. Political stickers invite vandalism or worse. I nearly lost my job once over a bumper sticker (small-town politics...a long story, not so interesting in retelling), and others I know have had cars torched or shot at.
