I could not help but eavsdrop on your conversation, and agree, but I completely fail to understand how anyone could be “undecided”, or mushy-are they neighbors with the white rabbit and sneaking tokes off the caterpillar’s hookah?
My ONE acquaintance who WAS an obot has been converted, but it took a drastic cut in her business-a tiny home-run deli-to do it. She passed out Ted Cruz literature with a bunch of us before the special election. and hosted a get-together for all of us poll workers at her little front-room restaurant.
We were, as my Brit neighbor says, totally gobsmacked, but the former O-worshipper, who is of Cuban ancestry, said her family convinced her to vote for him because he is black. She was sure that her business would thrive with all his fair share crap, and it did not occur to her that if all the tourists were broke and couldn’t pay for gas, lodging, etc for a holiday in the Texas hill country, no one here of any ethnicity would have any income-so instead, she lost her building and had to move the deli home. She has repented, and become a rather rabid conservative.
