Thanks for the reminder about the March for Justice - hard to believe it has been nearly 14 years. I can still remember making the decision to go and pulling my kids out of school the Friday before so we could drive down that day and be there for Saturday. My kids missed Halloween and to make up for it, we bought them bags of candy (for 1/2 price) for the drive home on Sunday and they were eating candy all the way back to Boston. I remember what a perfect weekend that was and saw the potential for a site like Free Republic. That's why I want to help end the infighting - so we can be a great community again that can once again put an event like that together. Hopefully it will be celebrating something and not protesting something!
BTW, it is great to hear you are back on your feet financially and can become a monthly contributor.
I too was in DC for the March For Justice. What a shame we did not wear name tags with our nic so we could meet each other. My brother and his wife (my husband didn't want to go) are not freepers but they came with me. It was a fabulous weekend and we went to Ft Marcy Park and met that guy (forgot his name) who had knowledge of the Vince Foster murder. Fantastic experience!
