If my parents had had “genetic screening” available to them, I might not exist: I was born “defective:” I had a severe club-foot, and might have lived my life as a cripple if not for a doctor’s intervention. As it is: I can walk normally, I once ran 6 minute miles (and at 64, I can still run a 10-minute mile), I’m 6’-4 and 220 lbs, and live a life I enjoy.
I can do without “genetic screening”....
