As a parent, here’s some perspective that other parents might relate to:
“You aren’t leaving the table till you finish evey bit of xxxx!”
“No, you can’t have any of this. It’s for company (or school/church/holiday event, ect.”
Which food item is the kid going to be crazy to want to eat? Psych 101. Duh.

As a parent you should already know what your child does and doesn't like after a few years. Preparing something they don't like for them is a waste of money as well as a creating unnecessary conflict.
You should use the "Oh, this is
sooooo good!" routine on them
when they're still young and forming opinions on food. Your good eating habits will be picked up by them in a positive way and they'll find far fewer foods distasteful.
Just my opinion.
