We would like to welcome all Freepers to our Victorian Days celebration in Belvidere N.J. Most activities are held on our town green & most are free of charge to all. The dates are Sat. Sept. 8th & Sun. Sept 9th. Our green is full of vendors with Victorian era items & great food & refreshments. There is an antique car show, old fashioned baseball game, victorian era fashion show, all day entertainment plus other free activities, For fee activities include hansom rides, cemetery tour, historic house tours. Belvidere is a quaint little town located on the Delaware River just south of the water gap & is not like the rest of N.J. Bring your antique car (car show fee) Wear your Victorian era clothes & join the crowd. Our website is www.victorianbelvidere.com
Don’t know if this is near you, but might be fun. Old houses and stuff.
Antique cars? Queen Vickie’s reign ended in 1901. What are they going to show, a Daimler and a Duryea?
Awesome. I went to a Dickens Faire in San Francisco and a Gold Rush Days in Old Town Sacramento. I dressed in a typical “black cylinder” outfit.
We have had Daimler’s & Duryea’s in the past. Even some 01 curved dash Olds.
We have antique cars for the obvious reason, they draw people & everyone loves them.
Anywhere in NJ is comparatively nearby, but I’ve already promised my weekend to the TRACEN gunner’s mates Halo tournament.
That has fun potential, too, if it’s one’s sort of thing. We’ll be going up to the lake house that weekend; probably will stop at the antique boat show in Mooresville on the way over.
