Ted Cruz says Sarah Palin’s endorsement was ‘game-changing’ in his Senate win

Sarah Palin might have been sitting out this year’s Republican National Convention, but that does not mean that she has been forgotten by the party faithful in Tampa.

Especially not by Ted Cruz, who credits her endorsement with helping him beat Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst in the race for the Texas GOP Senate nomination.

While speaking with POLITICO’s Mike Allen this morning, the Texas Republican Senate nominee called Palin’s endorsement “game-changing.”

It was game changing.
Nobody went out for sandwiches, everyone trusted that she would make the sandwiches.

When she quit making those sandwiches the game changed.

It was time to call in the pros, and Subway filled the bill.

As a Texas conservative, the article is correct. Sarah's endorsement of Cruz helped him weather the barrage of media BS attacks by the establishment candidate David Dewhurst

Sara palin isn’t going away, in fact Republicans and Conservatives owe Sara a great debt. She took all the abuse and horrible attacks, not only to herself but on her person as a woman but also against her husband, her children and on her litte boy. She took their abuse and cast them off as nothing and kept on going. And she is showing others how too.

She may not be speaking at the convention, but she is still very much in a lot of our minds when it comes to conservative politics. She also has a lot more credibility than a lot of the speakers they have trotted out.

I like her and also Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

Sarah Palin is a very special & gracious person who has been and continues to be a blessing to the Republic. And, in Ted Cruz, she has helped another new face to victory. God bless both Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz.

So true. The GOP has done everything to sideline her, mock and diminish her. However she has remained loyal, even though she has the clout to give the GOPer leadership some serious trouble.

This is an insult to Sarah Palin and all of her supporters . She was the vice presidential nominee and she deserves a great deal of respect for her thankless job trying her best to get GOPs elected . Sarah would have upset the apple cart for both the dems and the GOP had she won. . She almost dragged McCain over the finish line first . No one told her that MShame was suppose to lose So McCain suspends his campaign and solidified his loss , This is not over by a long shot . Its ABO (anbody but Obama ) then its time to start talking about 3rd party

I like her and also Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

I like her as well, and think she is very politically astute. She may be the best strategist that the republicans have. She seems particularly good at recruiting and picking good conservative candidates.

However, her talk show speaking reminds me too much of a high school cheerleader.

I don't give much weight to how her voice sounds, or her accent, or her folksy way of speaking. Those things are shallow and superficial.

I would hope that you, myself and all FReepers could have half of the guts and staying power that Sarah Palin has been demonstrating. She’s in this for the long haul and she is methodically and relentlessly remaking the Republican Party—candidate-by-candidate and campaign-by-campaign. Let’s stick together and continue working toward our shared goal—a restored Republic. Let’s not allow ourselves to become disheartened and retreat to talk of a devisive third party and abandon our increasingly successful struggle to remake the Republican Party.

It’s absolutely true that the endorsement was game-changing and I’m glad he is a humble enough man to admit that. We could wind up with 3-4 senators who were nobodies until Sarah endorsed them. That, friends, is power and that’s why the GOP-e is so frightened of her.

That`s very nice, however 2 weeks ago on ABC This Week, Cruz was present for multiple viscous Palin attacks by several people, Cruz remained silent, had nothing to say.

I am not trashing Ted, just that I watched/taped that program only because he was on, and only to see if he would say something nice about Sarah, he never said a word while others bashed her...I saw it!!
