FULL TITLE: Horrifying video shows teacher join class 'bullying' of 13-year-old by throwing him to the floor and ordeal has left young boy suicidal
A 13-year-old Washington School boy became suicidal according to his parents after his teacher allegedly bullied him and wrestled him to the floor.
The unnamed teen told his parents 'I want to die. I want to kill myself.' following the incident involving John Rosi the school wrestling coach at Gig Harbor's Kopachuk Middle School.
Caught on film by fellow students the alleged bullying by Rosi directly followed a 15-minute period where the boys fellow eighth-graders swung him from his arms and legs, wrote on his feet, stuck a traffic cone on his head, gagged him with his own sock and taunted him.

the coach attacked the little kid in a classroom, not a gym, and in front of taunting students after the kid had already been humiliated......this guy belongs in prison, now...
The 3rd-grade teacher at the public school I graduated from was found to be fondling little girls. The school board privately agreed to give him a recommendation at another school if he would leave ours without a fuss.
Criminal.
He was my 2 sisters’ HS track coach (I was in 8th grade at the time) and it was creepy going to the State Meet with him.
It happened to my kid in a private, Christian school! Has taken years for him to “fit” in again....
Note to yourself: Get your kid the hell out of public screwels!

I normally don’t consider myself a violence-prone person - but I do agree with you. I’d have beaten the coach something fierce.

So the “alleged bullying” was “caught in film”. I think it would be safe for the writer to delete the word “alleged” in this case. How stupidly PC do people have to be?
Having taught in a Lutheran school, I know that bullying happens everywhere. Usually at private schools I think it’s more mental/emotional bullying than physical. A lot of times what the teachers/administrators tolerate depends on the pressure they think they’ll get from parents if they resist. If the parents themselves are bullies/manipulators they can in effect bully the teachers/administrators by threatening to pull their kid out of school or turn the other parents against those involved, if a standard of behavior is actually upheld.
At one school where I taught, I expected the students to do the required reading and take a quiz on the basic content before we discussed in class. The kids ganged up to not do the reading, knowing that their parents would say that since all the kids were having problems it must be the teacher who is the problem. And indeed the parents did exactly that - led by a mom who worked for the superintendent of the public school in town.
She said that kids will be kids but the teacher is the adult who is supposed to make everything turn out OK.
The teacher who taught the same kids a different subject (social studies) told me that he had the kids read the book during class; that’s all they did. And then they took a standardized test (intended to be taken in one sitting, closed-book), open book, over the course of 2 days, and he scaled the grades. That’s the only way he could make everything appear to be OK so the parents wouldn’t give trouble.
When the issue is bullying, sometimes one whole family is the victim of PARENTS bullying.
I’m sorry to hear what you suffered, and please tell your child that there are probably people in the school who are still hurting right along with him/her over what happened.

As a person who was bullied in school, I have to admit that something was a bit off about this video.
This kid made no effort to get out of the room? And all of his actions just...just looked like he was playing along almost.
If he was screaming to get them to stop, It almost sounded half-heated. When they were drawing on his feet, he wasn’t even kicking or moving. And the “fight” between him and the “teacher” almost looked like some mock brawl. I sure as hell would have gotten away from these people rather than try to fight a teacher that size.
Maybe I’m totally off, but this video just didnt come off like I thought from reading the story.

Thakfully my oldest 14 is a boxer and all the kdis know this and they know he won the state champsionship a few years ago thus his repeutation follows him and if he had been there then this would nto have heppened even with the teacher there as my kids know to speak up

My oldest has two friends who go to a school where they learn nothing, they see and tell me about what goes on tere eevryday when they come over.
Seems this woman in charge of this private so called Christian school is black and only rings in black kids for the most part, infact only a handful of kids are white.
She gets te Gov to pay their tuition, pockets a cap load of money for herself and she is not held accountable to anyone.
ids just play, do no work, mess about and they kids go home and tell teir parent that they like the school the teacher is nice.
LAST WEEK THEY LEARNED HOW TO DO AN AFRICAN DANCE, THAT WAS ALL THEY DID ALL WEEK.

I’ve found most parents liberal or conservative never sit down with their kids anymore and talk about each teacher and what they did that day.
this is why I have asked so manytimes if there are any rich conservatives out there who can set up a news channel.
We never hear much of this, the homostapo and their thuggery which goes on eevry day, how the left infiltrates places like the church etc.
Yesterday there was a thread about the biased media and there was e-mail adresses and phone call numbers asking us to calla nd send mail calling these media outlets out.
Only a handful of folks even bothered to do anything, seems some logging on here and moaning about the state of the country is alright but they don;t want to do much else to correct the media by sending mail every day or calling

Two kids near me are best friends wiht my oldest and every day these kids come home and tell me aout it and how the school is.
It is a joke, the privae school is a money maker for the principle there, . She goes out and recruits kids in the black areas who cannot afford to go, she uses the Govt payments to get these kids to the school and all day they learn nothing.

I asked these kids as well have you learned about the constitution, Algebra etc and they had no idea what I was talking about, they are 14 years old and been there all their lives.
This school is a scam where the principle is raking a ton of money in and not being held accoutable
I’m sorry to hear that the public schools are so bad there. I think the main problem is that localities have lost control of their schools. When I was young, I think that people took an interest in their local schools. Now, it’s all controlled by the Department of Education, the teachers’ unions, and university academics.
If this was my kid, I’d have this low life charged with child molestation. On second thought, I’d just have to beat the crap out of him.
No, it doesn’t! No Teacher could pull this is a private school and get off with a 10 day suspension! If any teacher in a private school was shown to allow, let alone ENGAGE in the bavhior this guy did, they’d be summarily fired!
Bullying happens everywhere, but no way a teacher in any private school in america would still have their job if they behaved like this moron. Not only would the teacher be gone, but at least some of the students would likely no longer be at the school either.
In Washington state, teachers are “TENURED” after just 2 years... This is a glowing example of how teachers unions inspire excellence and responsiblity /SARCASM
