Are any of you going to watch any of the DNC? (Vanity)
September 2, 2012

Are you of going to watch the DNC or tune in to see Obama speech? I can see any reason I should. I do not want to listen to B.S.

I will watch O'Reilly & Hannity. But I will turn off any DNC speakers.

I will listen to Rush, Sean & Mark on the radio for anything worth hearing about.

On Wednesday I will watch the Giants game. Thursday I will avoid any coverage.

I’ll avoid it like I’d avoid a raving lunatic on a city street.

I haven’t watch more than three or four hours of television in the past 15 years, and that mostly in hotel rooms while trying to fall asleep.

Because of youtube, it’s not necessary to watch all the fallderah.
Speeches and transcripts are available all most instantly.
Really who needs to see all the fawning by the press, we know its going to happen.

It is always a good idea to get a look at the enemy. Think of it as reconnaissance. So yeah, I will watch as much as my stomach can handle.

I will do alot od reading or catch up on my TVLAND viewing. Maybe I can get back to the gym since I was bad last week. I can say with great pride that in 1996, 2000 and 2004 I did not watch any on the DNC. I broke down and watched Hillary’s speech in 2008 and a little bit of Biden in ‘08 but that was it.

You haven’t watched TV in the last 15 years??? Oh my gosh.

You have missed the reality show revolution. You have missed the adventures of Snooki, the brides of “Bridezillas”, and the hopes and dreams of little girls on “Toddlers and Tiaras”.

Not to mention, you are missing “NBC Nightly News”.

And, you don’t get to see the wit and wisdom of Jon Stewart.

How can you be in the dark about what’s going on in the world without TV??? (sarcasm)

It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.- Sun Tzu, The Art of War

I just do not have the stomache for it. Besides, we already know what they are going to say - Dems good, Obama even better - Repubs not just bad, but evil, white, racist, sexist, homophobe, warmongers, Oh, and I almost forgot - repubs help the rich and kill the poor.

That’s it in a nutshell.

I hardly had time to watch the RNC; only watched the good stuff on reply.
No way I would waste valuable minutes of my life on the DNC.

We all know ahead of time what they will say.

It will be a parade of freakish people railing against self reliance, decent moral values, individualism; and goodness.

On Wednesday I will watch the Giants lose to the Cowboys game.

That will be the extent of my TV watching for most of the week. However comma ESPN does have some counter programming Thursday night football in Pitt vs Cinci, 7pm CST.
