10 million lbs would be over 15,000 drums of the stuff. How does one steal that without drawing attention to oneself?
I am guessing it was an inside job.

Theory; Can Maple Syrup be refined into Ethanol? Or a cheap diesel fuel? That makes enormous sense for the fence.

Someone is getting a jump on the Black Market Sugar demand that will come about in Obama’s suppossed 2nd term! I imagine thing like a bag of sugar will get you further than a wad of inflated currency if barry gets his way.....
To: Tugo
That’s 5,000 TONS of maple syrup.
Good grief, that is almost 42 fully loaded train cars (coal cars carry about 120 tons each) or about 167 fully loaded semis.
Someone’s idea of security was an epic fail...

No. No sugar can be refined into ethanol. Sugar is the food for yeast. Yeast eats it and craps ethanol. It is the ethanol that is refined from the products of fermentation.

global strategic maple syrup reserveI just realized I need some tactical maple syrup to go with my tactical bacon.
You can't have strategy without tactics.

Refining Maple Syrup to sugar highly probable and untracable.

Interestingly, they didn’t steal the drums, merely emptied them. I wonder if they arrived at this facility empty and this is just the culmination of a long con involving falsified paperwork of non-existent syrup.
