The blacks down South don't have an attitude than the arrogant bunch I have run into in the Northeast. The area from Chicago through Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and DC have the most violent, racist, arrogant, black people I have ever seen.
But, I have seen hatred such as that you voiced, against Southerners my whole life, and even believed that I was an ignorant hick myself when I was younger. Now I fight against prejudices like yours against the South whenever I find them.
My whole family is from the South. I was born in North Carolina, was stationed in Florida, Texas and Virginia, and went to school from Maryland. To say I have a prejudice implies that my dislike is without merit. For me, my personal experiences were enough to make me decide to stay away from there.
